Welcome to the USS Destiny

The USS Destiny proudly calls Raptor Fleet home.

Raptor Fleet was once one of the best, well known and respected Star Trek RPG's, playing by forum and email. Raptor Fleet is back and both Fleet and Destiny Command staff are dedicated to providing the best siming experience possible.
Anyone can achieve there fullest potential, who we are might be predetermined, but the path we follow is always of our own choosing. We should never allow our fears or the expectations of others to set the frontiers of our destiny. Your destiny cant be changed, but it can be challenged. Every man is born as many men, and dies as a single one.

Our Mission is to share the wonders of Gene Roddenberry's creations.
We meet to learn and understand, to join in the mystery and magic of
play.

We wish to share this with anyone who is interested, to their own level of participation!
We hold true the idea that INFINITE DIVERSITY in INFINITE COMBINATION yields
INFINITE POSSIBILITIES for our present and our future - and the future of our world.
The Crew of the USS Destiny pride ourselves on being like a family,
leaving politics at the door and just enjoying the game.

After almost two thousand years of Dominion rule and suppression over, hundreds of planets have begun to emerge no longer frightened. With this new found freedom they have taken to the stars once again. Many, in search of those who drove the Dominion and the Jem`Hadar away. The majority just want peace and for some, freedom for the first time.

However there are those few who had it good under the Dominion and are not pleased at all to see
StarFleet in Dominion space or even the Gamma Quadrant its self.

With the Dominion War now over, and the once powerful Dominion in ruin. StarFleet along with the Klingon and Romulan Star Empires has rebuilt but the continued threat from the unknown members of the Dominion and the lure of the unexplored regions of the Gamma Quadrant has meant that StarFleet and others has invested in new vessels to enter the Gamma Quadrant and continue to seek out new life and new civilizations, to make first contact and continued contact with the residents there and to keep a watchful eye on those who are still loyal to the former Dominion.

The USS Destiny NCC-60205 is an online Star Trek role-playing game. We currently have numerous vacancies available in all Departments including, Engineering, Flight Control, Medical, Science, Security and Operations.

The USS Destiny will sometimes, touch topics/subjects that few Star Trek RPG's have in the past. The writers of this RPG, are expected to write at the very least 1 post a week, after all it only takes 5 minutes, if you unable to contribute and post frequently, please visit Raptor Fleets other Vessels and view the other Simulation's that we have to offer:

We welcome both new and experienced writers to join us, and become an involved and intergrated member of our Crew. If you have any questions, please don`t hesitate to Contact me, or Commander Scott.

The USS Destiny NCC-60205 is a Nebula-class Starship who, with her sister vessels, based at Starbase Raptor have been assigned the ominous task of conducting these extended missions in the Gamma Quadrant on the other side of the Bajoran wormhole. This is the story of her crew as they take her into the depths of the explored and unexplored regions of the Gamma Quadrant, and each other.

Her primary mission is to explore the Gamma Quadrant, and prevent further incursions into the Alpha Quadrant by any hostile member of the once powerful Dominion. Missions can/will include, but are not limited to, covert operations in former Dominion territory, first contact scenarios with new life forms, and Diplomatic missions to form Commercial treaties and alliances with civilizations with StarFleet and the Alpha Quadrant.

We will be exploring new frontiers never before seen by any member of the Federation. It will be an adventure like no other and we need able men and women who are willing to serve StarFleet in its most important task of the post-war era where only your imagination is a boundary.

Thought I'd just get my own thoughts out here. I can't speak for either the Captain or Ty-ling, but I do know that Real Life does pull us out a lot of times with emergencies and without being able to get out notification. It's happened to me before and its happened to a lot of people I know who also role-play.

Now I have a good amount of experience with Star Trek sims, though maybe not as much as everyone here, and I've seen Star Trek sims fail before. Now this is just my intake, but I've noticed that Star Trek sims seem to be rather formal and serious most of the time compared to other RPGs I've been on. I believe that is probably the one reason why Star Trek sims or fleets fail so quickly and just stop being active. The recent dispute that happened a little while back serves as a good example of things being taken too serious. The idea of an RPG is to have fun and when things are so formal, its hard to do so.

As for the ship status, I doubt it will fall under the wing. Even if a few members do leave or stop being active, that doesn't mean someone else can't step up to the position (preferably the most senior member here). As for posts, there is nothing wrong with an RPG going at a slow and steady pace. I'm on several RPGs that have a slow pace to them. Of course, there is nothing wrong with an RPG being pretty active as well. But as I said, RL can step in and quickly change matters around without any warning.

And again, if you're worried about the sim disappearing, don't be. There are a good number of people on hear that are active, although probably worried about the same thing as you, and would not like to see the Destiny die. I know I'm not the most active player in the game, but I don't plan on seeing another Star Trek RPG fail again.

P.S. BTW, did you get my message about the JP between Mnheia and Gereon?

Can someone forward me the name of our new mission please? So i can update the mission briefing. Also 4 posts a month are required not 6 although if you want to write more than 4 that`s great.

Also please don`t JP with me at the moment, you all can write what you think the Captain would say, if your talking to him, your all great writers/players.

It`s my understanding our Chief security and Science officer have a couple of great ideas for our next mission, and i`m looking forward to being apart of it.
